These things keep popping up

"As we live on earth we must walk in faith, nothing doubting. When the journey becomes seemingly unbearable, we can take comfort in the words of the Lord: 'I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold I will heal thee'(2 Kings 20:5). Some of the healing may take place in another world. We may never know why some things happen in this life. The reason for some of our suffering is known only to the Lord." -James E. Faust
I came upon this quote maybe a few days after Duane had passed away. It was printed up on an Avery sticker label, where it came from I can only guess. Duane was famous for using the labels, I assume it was from some project of his. I love that quote. I now have it hanging on my fridge, constantly reading it(because I frequent my fridge). I don't know why this has happened to my family, but I take such comfort knowing that He has heard my prayers, has seen my tears and will heal my broken heart.

I have found many quotes like this SO helpful in my life and know that Heavenly Father DOES answer our prayers. He is with you always. (I lost two sisters in a short time a few years ago!) My heart goes out to you! I'm sure it will be different with a spouse, but time does begin to heal some of the hurt. I know!

Glad to see a smidge of that Becky humor in your post. Hang in there. You are doing great!

Becky, I don't know why this has happened to your family, and I really don't know why things continue to happen (enough already!)but I do know that He is faithful. You are such a strong person and I see you clinging to that rock. It is inspiring. Your kids had a great time last night at dress rehearsal. You are such a great example to them and they, in turn, are great examples and role models for those kids whose lives they touch. We love you!!

Becky, I'm not a regular reader of yours, but I just heard through the bloggy grapevine of your loss.

I am so very sorry.

Know that there is one more person out there praying for you and your sweet family at this trying time. Heavenly Father is very aware of YOU.

Becky, this is Whitney Baer (I'm now married though). I've heard of your hardships through the grapevine and saw your blog on a mutual friend's list. I just wanted to tell you that I think you are amazing and when I grow up I want to be more like you.

I am touched by you and your faith. I am friends with Heidi Roberts (from our BYU days) and read about your family on her blog and found a link here.

My brother passed away two years ago of Colo-rectal cancer and left a wife and 6 kids so yours and your husbands experiences hit home to me. (I remember my brother being so frustrated over his numb hands and feet) You seem so strong admist your life changes. Please keep that faith. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be and the bumps in the rode you will face but no matter what please keep your faith for you, your kids and your husband. Thanks for your example.
